It would have been nice if that had been made a standalone bill, so we could see who was in support of it when it wasn't tied to giving hundreds of billions to financially reckless and insolvent state and local governments.

The issue with those like Massie is that when it comes time to pay for housing for the homeless, suddenly it’s all about personal responsibility and being fiscally conservative. 1. We shouldn't be spending vast amounts of money on welfare

2. If we insist on doing so, it should not be going to illegal immigrants in favor of our own citizens

Fair enough, but you do see the inconsistency in that particular argument, do you not? Making it a patriotic thing with veterans being passed over doesn’t work as well when it’s clear that given the chance to help those vets you’ll also vote no.

There was once a politician who pushed to end the endless wars. The deep state had generals lie and prevent that from happening. Hope he comes back and finishes the job.

I’m fully supportive of a welfare system for all Americans. Need to couple it with more incentives to get off welfare but if you closed the borders and decoupled with China all of a sudden people would have jobs again. Chamber of commerce doesn’t approve. **** them.
