No All Star Game in Atlanta This Season?

I've seen this propaganda get a lot of play on left wing twitter. This part of the bill is clearly trying to prevent certain actors from providing gifts as motivation for voters to vote a certain way (I think I read that someone was handing out pizza). If voting rights advocates are really concerned about this, then they can place water dispensers with cone cups along the line of voters, and allow polling workers to fill the cup if necessary. A very simple solution.

That's a nice take. Water is water and a necessity if one has to stand in lines for hours, which in many places people do. Make it politically neutral and available to everyone.

Or simply speed up the damn process so one doesn't need a survival kit and backpack to exercise the right to vote. We all know that the only reason it takes so long is because one party wants to make voting as inconvenient as possible.

Thing is if you give people water, they're gonna want a potty next. Where is this gonna end.

Tell you what, if the Braves are fortunate enough to win the World Series this year, that trophy presentation with Manfred should be mighty interesting.

Can anyone tell me if chop country members meet up at games? It would be interesting to meet such like minded folks...:)

Well I don't really care about the All Star game and haven't in years. I think mqt did a solid break down of the new voting law and why the reaction is over the top. But if MLB wants to posture like this then more power to them. I hope 30 states pass similar laws and MLB decides to posture themselves out of all 30. And I hope Kemp and the legislature have the backbone to tell MLB that election integrity is more important than hosting one game that not a lot of people watch anyway.

I met up with board leader and glav at the opening of SunTrust Park. Was a fun time

I was curious because I've played all 3 major sports at a high level. I was in the Army and Navy and even with all of our differences and dislikes, politics was a bit of stay the hell away zone. In light of some of the bs I've seen just in this thread I wondered what it (chop country gathering)would look like. You are /were in the military correct?
