The Democrats on both coasts should know that all the poor people already have an ID, since they are required for cigarettes, beer, and lottery tickets.
 
I've decided Kemp needs to recall the Georgia legislature and change Georgia's voting laws to New York's laws word for word. I'd love to see heads explode with cognitive dissonance.

I'm fine with that. It would among other things remove the petty "punishment" that the new law doles out to Raffensperger for acting with integrity.

That's the worst part of the law but it also doesn't affect people casting votes so it doesn't fit the whole voter suppression narrative.

Ultimately Georgia's voting laws are less restrictive than many democrat states but that doesnt fit the narrative and so is conveniently ignored.

Georgia's laws before were fine. I think they are fine now. There is a sort of karmic justice because this new law was passed as a sort of placebo to placate the folks who disseminated and believed the BIG LIE. Boomerang is a thang (hope y'all are impressed by my poetic chops).

Placating a bunch of liars (and I don't view the BIG LIE as some little thang) gets you virtue signaling by MLB and others. Hope everyone's happy now.

What's interesting is the cooler heads prevailed and made the end result actually very minor as far as voting goes. The original proposals were much larger. Doing away with no excuse absentee voting for example.

So the cooler heads manage to pass nominal changes to placate the extremists and yet still get accused of Jim Crow 2. My reaction would be to pass the laws I'm being accused of.

I feel a little sorry for Kemp. I think he tried to navigate the various crosscurrents. And things blew up in his face.

my application for the credibly accused creepy joe rapid response team was declined...my feelings were hurt...as a result you will not find much opining on my part on his actions, lies and otherwise

The big lie as if that ‘lie’ has ever been proven to be just that. All there were were words and coward judges as well as uncertified audit firms to try and get out in front of the real story in maricopa county.
