GDT 6/29 - you know, maybe that’s ok around here still?

In a misguided effort to spare the BP, Snit gave up a PA late in the game when he allowed Morton to hit for himself.

The very next inning a tiring Morton gave up the lead and didn’t get a single out in exchange for giving up that PA. So the BP got used exactly as much as if he had PH for Morton.

This exact mistake has been made at least a dozen times, usually with predictably disastrous results…and a BP that is no more rested than it would have been if used optimally.

It’s is becoming unwatchable to see them lose leads in exactly the same manner over and over.

That’s why I’ve mainly tuned out. I decided to watch this game in full, because it was against the Mets. I remember now why I haven’t. Watching a completely inept manager blow easy wins is taking its toll on my mental health. It’s like a broken ****ing record. Anytime anything good happens, he does something stupid. And when something bad happens, he exacerbates the issue. It’s so tiring.

This is a miserably gutless team. When we needed to respond, instead of concentrating on good, solid contact, Acuna and Albies swinging out of their ****ing shoes at bull****.

In that half-inning, yes it was. The situation itself, not at all. But I guess you like guys swinging out of control and going and sitting their ass on the bench.
The dumb ax manager made this game what it is. Swinging for the fence or whatever isn't smart but their swings aren't a tenth of what ails this craptastic team

Bringing in Minter was really inexcusable. That anyone is bitching about Morton being left in when he was at 74 pitches with 20 straight scoreless is amazingly stupid, considering how many games the pen has ****ed up this year. Morton got screwed by the ump and then he hung one to a ****ty hitter. Try again next year.
