One hilarious silver lining from Trump’s insurrection is

that his supporters who stormed the Capitol will now

have felony arrest records and have their gun rights revoked.

In other words, they took their own guns away.
 
Well I am going to bet the next group that tries to storm the capital and murder Congress and the VP to prevent the certification of the election will be treated much worse.
 
The GOP has turned this into a money grab, using fear the same way Evangelical leaders use it to to take money from their suckers. It won't matter to them when the lies amount to nothing. They'll have their pockets full and will already be on to their next scam - how to hide the money and not pay taxes on it.

I can be fine with him spending jail time. He was wrong and broke the law I'd reckon.

I have no problem with this. At the time he knew what he was doing would have consequences.

I'm fed up with the unequal punishments for certainly unequal crimes.

People got let off for setting fire to a private business, but this guy gets the terrorism charge for walking into a public building

I think Paul Hodgkins got lucky drawing one of those soft-of-crime Obama-appointed judges. Looking forward to seeing what kind of sentences the trump-appointed judges mete out.

sorry i've been clear (unlike you) in advocating that everyone get vaccinated...i did note there might be an ancillary benefit to the body politic if trumpophilic voters did not...but really i think everyone should...even you and thethe god bless your little hearts
