The bullpen market is going to get crazy over the next 31 hours. Brewers, Giants, Braves, Mets, Blue Jays, Rays and White Sox among the teams still looking for relief help. Kimbrel, Rodriguez, Kennedy, Tepera, Hudson, Hand, Soria, Robles, Shaw, Fry, Cisnero among those available.

You'd have to think Smith would fetch something decent.

I don't keep up with the guy at all. What are the injuries? Fluke deals or recurring issues?

A couple have been fluke, but even so it's always SOMETHING with him. We're not talking about every once in awhile - he's just snakebit.

Makes no difference what the injuries are, you're talking about paying a guy $80 million to play half seasons for the next seven years - or the equivalent of paying him the same type of money you'd be paying Freddie if you gave him the Goldy deal.

No thanks.

Is Mancini the last possibility for us that could actually help the offense? Could we get him and one of their lefty relievers without having to part with Muller or Touki?

The Texas Rangers will receive RHP Glenn Otto, 2B Ezequiel Duran, SS Josh Smith and 2B/OF Trevor Hauver as part of the package from the New York Yankees in the Joey Gallo trade, sources tell ESPN.

Fangraphs had Duran 122 overall, but that’s the only prospect in their top 130 rankings.

A FV 50 plus quality filler. This is the expected return for Gallo.

Go get josh Harrison (enscheff's guy) and schwarber. We'd have to play joc in cf, but the offense would be pretty good.

Joc
Albies
FF
Riley
Schwarber
Harrison
TDA
Swanson

Duran FV 50 young dynamic guy
Smith FV 45 utility IFer
Otto FV 40 BP arm
Hauver FV 40 maybe a 2B

The Braves have 2 guys as valuable as Duran: Pache and Lango. Who would have been OK with giving one of them up to boost the playoff chances to about 20%? Not to mention the Joc/Gallo/Freeman portion of the lineup would be very susceptible to LHP.
