Rosenthal Sources say other teams are still trying to top Padres for Scherzer. Nationals and Padres essentially have agreed on players in trade. Situation may be complicated by Scherzer’s ability to veto any trade and effectively choose next club.

Those blanks in the previews on milb.com just mean they haven't faced tonight's SP.

The Seattle Mariners are finalizing a deal to acquire reliever Diego Castillo from the Tampa Bay Rays, sources tell ESPN. Deal is pending a review of medicals.

There’s the replacement for Kendall Graveman. Mariners going out and making moves. Rays trade from deep pitching core.

If that’s the case, then sell off some assets. The current squad will not make the playoffs.
