I think Morosi said the Braves and Phillies make sense for Buxton. That’s his opinion and nothing more.
 
If Mets get Bryant and Baez you can kiss the season goodbye. Honestly, either one would make them pretty tough.

But see I don't believe the rumors. AA's track record while here is that a deal like this won't happen, and I certainly don't expect it to. I can definitely be proven wrong though. This deadline is playing out exactly as we all thought, just adding at the margins.

I think we’ve made our “upgrades” to a bat and OF …in the eyes of AA of coarse…

Next is pitching…in which he probably won’t address.

Buxton would give us a punchers chance. He'd definitely be close to matching Acuna's production if he could stay healthy.

I actually like Maeda a lot. He's been a good bit unlucky so far this year.

Agreed. I feel like we need to get Buxton to counter the Baez/Mets move and whatever the Phillies do in the next hour (Kris Bryant)? Though Baez has struggled quite a bit this year.

Agreed. If it does happen, it will be like the 2 trades we made today where the Braves release a statement announcing the move before any of the insiders get wind of it
