What a crybaby. WAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
I don't think anyone was terribly optimistic about the outcome of this game until Riley's two out, two run shot in the top of the eighth.

Nope. Used it in early May after the two-game sweep vs. Nats.
No, I'm pretty sure he was always an outfielder. Might have pitched in the occasional blowout or something, I suppose.

He pitched from 1999-2001. See baseball reference. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/a/ankieri01.shtml
He was runner up for rookie of the year as a starting pitcher
I have a feeling this is the highlight of our season. And I'm totally fine with that.
Why?
to which part?
Different player. Rick Ankiel is a Braves postseason folk hero. He never pitched, and certainly had no affiliation with the Cardinals.
A Sports Illustrated article about Ankiel and his pitching yips.

There are like a million people out there with the name Rick Ankiel.
Do you think this will be the high point?
Ok, this makes the trolling official. LOL
Because this team is still really ****ing average and I still don't expect them to win the division. But to finally get above .500 on the season by sweeping the Cards in the way that game played out was really fun.
I don’t expect them to win the division either, and they are average. But, everything says that we’re a better team than the Phillies and the Mets except the actual results so far. I’m still clinging to that sliver of hope.
