Depends on the scenario his spot comes up to bat this inning. If it’s none on and 2 outs I punt the PA and let him pitch the 6th.

Max is sitting at 85 pitches and due up 3rd in the bottom of the 5th. Is there any scenario where it makes sense to PH for him, considering he’s most likely only going 1 more inning after this?

If it’s a big scoring opportunity I would have to consider bringing in Heredia to hit.

Dawg, other than Freeman, there’s no one on the bench who is an appreciably better hitter than Fried. We shouldn’t be worried about whether we should PH for him, only if he should pitch the next inning.

It's always fluid but now that the Mets have coughed up their entire lead and now in 2nd place the Phillies (with their easy schedule) are at 49% to win the division. Mets are at 27 and Braves at 23. I suspect once the Mets are done with the Dodgers and Giants they will be in the teens in that regard. I think they are done.

Man, I’d rather the Mets win the division than the Phillies.

Honestly if the Braves don't win it I wouldn't mind the Phillies winning over the Mets. I can totally see a scenario where their new owner gets real butt hurt about them blowing that lead and doing stupid things in free agency like the Mets always do.

Why do we have greene in the pen? He hasn't pitched in august, he's horrible, and we have no lhp out there bc smith can only save in snit's book. DFa greene for minter... this is easy
