It really is a tough call. Smith and void have been equally bad. Smith is a better catcher but has zero offense. Void can at least draw a walk once a month.
It’s official TDA up Smith DFA
I know we mock Chip all the time when he says it but dadgumit its the truth this time. Adding TDA IS like acquiring a silver slugging catcher. Out 1-8 is going to be great.

TDA has been a silver slugging catcher once in his entire career. He had a 411 BABIP last season as well so let's not go overboard. He is a real catcher though and not an automatic out so that is a meaningful improvement.

TDA also had basically his first full healthy season.
This was what people expected when we was in Toronto.
If he can just return to what he was in the three seasons where he played in (barely) over 100 games, the improvement would be drastic.
I don't think I've ever seen a non-pitcher with an OPS+ of 18.

Still better than Pache
Vogt is a better defender. He’s 200 points better in OPS too.
Don't want to throw dirt on his career quite yet, but if things don't get better, I think we can call it a Pacheplant when a prospect woefully underperforms.
Still better than Pache
So far, Pache has been the only top position prospect to flop. The Braves have been very lucky in that regard.
Not sure that Vogt is a "better" defender, but Smith certainly hasn't struck me as such an amazing framer or defensive guy like Flowers that you're willing to keep him around over someone who can at least provide you some form of offense every once in awhile.
