Yes. Leaving needed to happen but there were a few things that could have been done differently based on various right wing conspiracy theorists have mentioned. But you know we have all the crazy ideas until the oppositions ideas are implemented and destabilize the world.

One of the biggest things that brought us to where we are was the way the hoax collusion targeted Erik prince and general Flynn. Both sounded the alarm early about Afghanistan and would have been world better then the clowns we have.

Obama and his cronies destroyed the country.

Afghanistan is a rat’s nest that Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden share blame for. This troop withdrawal seems oddly executed, but I have a tough time seeing these takes that out the onus of blame on Biden.

It’s so sad what’s about to happen to women and homosexuals in that region. I do think these sort of travesties are a global issue that every free nation as a part in policing, but I don’t think I am clever enough to provide a suggestion for how that policing should take place.

Depressing.
 
Definitely the worst take I have seen the last two days is “how can the US police human rights when we have our own problems at home?”

I promise you every single reasonable person in these countries would give their life to provide their family the opportunity to live in poverty in the US.

I dont see what the first and second paragraph have to do with each other. Would poor people in poor countries prefer to be poor in the richest country on Earth? Duh, but it has little to do with human rights.



We may not he the worst but we are far from the model for human rights. We incarcerate people at a higher rate than any country on Earth outside of ones like North Korea where we dont have reliable data. Our rate is 5 times higher than the world average. I know you wont agree but the war on drugs launched by the US and forced onto other countries is a holocaust in slow motion.

I think people have a tendency to forget why we went into Afghanistan in the first place. They want to lump it in with Iraq and call it American Imperialism or some kine of neo-con exercise. But it's important to remember that the Taliban were harboring Al Qaeda who had committed the most heinous terrorist attack on the US in history. Nearly 3,000 people were killed, mostly American civilians. Toppling the Taliban was the right choice.

It's just a shame things have been bungled ever since. This pullout is the crowning failure that has been our utter failure in handling Afghanistan.
