The Coronavirus, not the beer

Good point. And how do you think it would have gone if our former President Trump had instituted similar lockdowns?

I recall he was a bigot at first when he started putting travel bans in place. Why, I bet some people might have even called him a fascist, totalitarian, Nazi, or enemy of democracy.

No way!

i appreciate your altruistic instinct

In my time in finance/accounting I often had to help people who I didn't particularly agree with or like. Ultimately though, the success of the team is more important than my personal feelings.

I'm not saying we ever had the option to pursue the strategy Australia is pursuing. But if I was tin pot dictator of an island country, I would seriously consider it. I would even allow low-info Aussie voters an opportunity to select a new tyrant if they were unhappy with my decisions.

Australia can attribute its 'success' primarily because of how fast they were to close their borders.

We closed early too to foreign travelers. But we allowed Americans to travel abroad and then come back after they got infected. But I think even if we had not made that mistake, the strategy being pursued by various island countries would not really be an option for us.

What Australia has done to its people is one of the biggest human rights violations in the last century... and we have the lecturing academic on here saying how noble it was

It didn't matter.

We were seeded from October-January without knowing it existed.

The trajectory of our pandemic would have only change had we took the right approach from the beginning.

All healthy sub 60 year olds go about their lives as normal.

Protect at risk. Early treatment with therapeutics for those developing symptoms or with confirmed positive tests.

Everyone knew this except the dumb asses that posted it.

Its amazing how many fall for this stuff and then just disappear when the proof comes out.

It makes it hard to take them seriously. Honestly it really does. It makes it seem like they do it on purpose.

Wait but what about the NPR story that said a dude was denied care from 43 different hospitals bc they were too full.

You're telling me you're not buying that one?!?!

Have you noticed the trend in the Russia Collusion thread?

Just wait to see what happens when election fraud becomes an established fact.

These people have no integrity at all.

Remember the story about the wife that poisoned her husband with fish food (HCQ).

They literally fall for the same **** over and over and over and over and over....

These people can't be voting for things that impact others. They are too dumb to know what the right thing to do is.
