I take it you missed my post in the Diaz thread. I have noted a few times on here and twitter about our reported interest in Bello.

It will be interesting if we sign Diaz too. Though it seems the Cardinals are the favorites now.

Strange that we would sign a near 30 year old catcher. Anyone know much about this guy other than his birthday is 2/12/85 and he is 5'-11", 225 lbs? Sounds like more of a minor league filler.

He was suspended a year for being caught trying to sneak out of the country. Other than that, I'll pass along that our scouts have an excellent track record and it raised an eyebrow as to us having a cupboard full at C.

Yea we have Gattis who hit 21 home runs in only 105 games last year, whom we have under control for another 5 years, plus Bethancourt who is one of our top prospects. I can't imagine this guy having much chance at all to surpass either of those.
