Wasn’t Australia’s last federal election in the spring of 2019? Not sure the response to a pandemic no one knew was coming was included in anyone’s platform. Approval rating for the Australia PM just hit an 18 month low, for what that’s worth…

My google search tells me the next federal elections are in 4 months. So they have the chance to vote for someone else.

A party he was part of did win and he rose to power through that

Since you went hitler though, his ride to power while also never getting 50+% majority for his party etc echoes a certain someone you like being in power though. But hey, History is fun.

It wasn’t a straight vote for stalin but you knew Stalin was going to be the leader etc

The fun part of hitlers rise to power and his attacks on the populace and opposition etc etc

Was Germans saying he wasn’t competent, that he couldn’t lead, there was nothing to really worry about and that the institutes of Germany were too strong for him to bring down

And the conservatives pretty much just fell in line while their country became fascist

It’s kind of weird knowing that and seeing what’s been happening in this country
 
I am glad to learn that Stalin and Hitler weren't tyrannical bc they got their position through the election system.
 
Also glad to know that we can't be concerned about any overreach until the gas chambers have been turned on.
