If I remember correctly, Trump eclipsed Obama’s vacation days in 8 years within his first two years of office.

they’re not comparable. Trump inherited a stable upward economy Obama walked into office at the beginning of the recession.

I have agreed with you on it being unnecessary to limit the search to black women, but it would appear this particular black woman was selected due to her exceptional credentials, unimpeachable character and unwavering dedication to the rule of law.

This is true, but it still misses the point. The issue is that we both assume public servants are robots who should just spend the entire day focused on policy and that any time spent not doing that means they’re just off the grid and unavailable to do their job.

i don’t have an issue with presidents playing golf. It’s probably the easiest for secret service to patrol a golf course and easiest stress relief for a president to get out and “away”.

but man was Trump really getting out and getting away almost eeveey week. Especially after his campaign speeches full of “I’d be working so much I’d never get a chance to play golf”.

That may be the case but she will forever be tainted because of the absurd pre-condition for selection.

I'd argue her record speaks to how radical she will be and will fit in nicely with the leftist contingent on the bench that ALWAYS votes together.

If Biden never said he'd nominate a black woman as a SCOTUS judge on the campaign, and he still selected her, not much would change from the right on him picking her.

They would have complained either way.

Doesn't matter that she's qualified.

You might be right. It would have been racist of people to assume she only got the job bc she was a back woman, though.

The president has made it clear that this particular person would NOT have been chosen if not for her skin color and gender.
