Umm…Acuña Says That He Won’t Miss Freddie

Nobody is an angel, not even Acuna, and we are seeing the usual “bash the guy on his way out” nonsense.

We all know Acuna is a bit of a drama queen, and we all know Freeman is more of a dinosaur. It should come as no surprise they aren’t fishing buddies.

It's a big, diverse clubhouse, and not every player is going to like every other player. There are always going to be personality conflicts. The important thing is that teams don't let personal distaste/dislike affect the on-field product, and considering our success over the last several years I think it's safe to say we've managed to avoid that. Maybe Snitker deserves credit for that, maybe not, but either way it hasn't been much of an issue.

People rely on one interpretation of something on the internet and run with it and make proclamations of how obvious everything supposedly was? Almost like this is 21st-century America.

like it or not there are still cultural differences in this world and even in baseball club houses. If you care to watch tonite, if last year is an example notice all the latin players gather at the far end of the dugout from Snitker and his coaches. Acuna has never been inclined to speak English and I doubt FF knows little more than si and no.

I'm a old school guy but love the swagger that guys like Acuna and Ozzie have brought to team. I've always thought that some of the Braves past playoff struggles were due to their stuffy professional approach to playing. All those great Bobby Cox teams were awesome in running the marathon of a season but sucked when it was time to play with urgency and emotion in the playoffs.

I do think Acuna was spot on about Freddie being overbearing. How many stories did we get every year about him pushing guys to play 162? How many times did Freddie play hurt and somewhat to the detriment team? I'm interested to see how Freddie likes being a Dodger when they sit him during the season to try to work a better matchup.

I mean I’m not surprised. Freeman felt he could publicly embarrass and abuse Acuña when Freddie isn’t as good of a player. It’s not surprising Acuña doesn’t have the highest respect for him. I for one am glad Freeman is gone and have actually wanted him gone for a few years now.

Man, I apparently don't know all the personal problems in the clubhouse caused by FF, but I for one loved watching FF in a braves' uniform. I'm fine that we moved on, but I will always appreciate FF. I won't be bashing him

I would be willing to bet people are making a mountain out of a molehill regarding this. It should be no surprise that Freddie and Ronald weren't best buddies. I doubt they hated each other or that is caused a major problem in the clubhouse. Generally, clubhouses that are divided won't find the sort of success we've seen over the past few years.

Acuna always been a punk. Now he’s disrespectful to one of the faces of the franchise.

I’m gonna find it fascinating in how the older fans react to the Braves Latin dominated clubhouse the next few years.
Already see one comment here that pretty much sums up how some people
Deal with change lol

You'll still get articles from the local writers on how the Braves are racist for not having any african-american players on the team.
