Braves never treated Newcomb right, should have committed the future to him back in 2018 and given him the 10 year deal then. No surprise he hasn't performed with how the organization has jerked him around. Time to root for a real organization that knows how to build a dynasty, the Chicago Cubs.

The silver lining here is the Cubs have a pretty poor track record developing pitchers, so the likelihood of them fixing Newk is minimal.

Had he gone to a place like TB, LA, Oakland, Cleveland, or Houston we might be crying about it a year from now.
