NBA Thread

Davis is Garnett with a better offensive game. Can't say anything bad about him. Fun player to.watch.

He's a Dirk/KG hybrid on O and Duncan/Camby on D....dude is going to be the best player in the NBA in a few years, no question about it.

Its hard to argue against that. Ill still take KD because I believe he is still going to get better but hard to argue against Davis. It's criminal for a man that big and thar athletic to handle the ball the way he does. His ability to catch on the run and in traffic is like nothing I can remember seeing.

Davis has a higher ceiling than KD because of his D and rebounding....not a slight at KD but AD is just a straight up freak. So glad he left Kentucky so I can finally enjoy his game.

Hard tto argue against that. I still don't believe he will be the offensive player KD is now and I believe KD is going to get bebetter.

Its going to be a lot of fun to watch Davis develop. The NBA is so healthy right now its great. If Wiggins or Parker become star type players then even better.

This is considered healthy for the NBA?
Half the teams hoping to lose each night?

The lottery will be fixed at some point. The overall talent in the league right now is amazing though and its not just centralized in the big markets. It would help if the Knicks get good again which will happen eventually. Really news to get one of these transcendent stars there to really make the NBA explode.

The talent is centralized though, which to me is a huge problem. There are like 5 teams with a real shot. The playoffs in the East are an absolute joke of the term "playoffs." In any other league, pretty much any team can win once the playoffs start. I actually find the NBA to be a poorly run league with an insufferably boring regular season, even though it's somehow still really popular.

Pretty much this.

But.

West playoffs will be insane.

Can we go ahead and book Indiana/Miami already barring injuries.

Having a 21/10 season at 21 years old or younger has happened 7 times, outside of Davis. Twice by Shaq, Duncan, Rick Barry, Blake Girffin, Terry Cummings and Antoine Walker.

If you add blocks (2.9) and steals (1+) then you get: One.........Anthony Davis

AD's last six games:

28 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block

29 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal

32 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 blocks, 1 steal

29 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, 1 steal

36 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, 1 steal

40 points, 21 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal

lol i remember saying he'd bust.

No...he's awful. He is just lucky he has an all time great player and another future hofer both before their primes.

If you mean the lineup to start the 4th, i agree.

No idea why KD or RW isnt on the floor at all times, or to a lesser extent, even Serge.

Was the stud trio of Adams, Lamb, and Jones ob the floor?

No, for some reason Brooks seems to believe that playing Butler/Fisher 30 minutes a game is a smart idea. Lamb's play has absolutely tailed off since his great game in Miami but to bury the kid is just ridiculous. I know the goal is a championship and you trust someone like Butler more than Lamb but there are times when we need offense and Lamb can do that in a lot of different ways. Either way, I hope this makes Lamb determined to become a better player...especially on defense where he struggles in isolation plays.

Interesting development since RW returned. He is shooting over 40% from three. Of course there is small sample noise in there but if he could even get to 37% that would be amazing and make him that much better. The shoot looks better coming off his hands this year and he stopped shooting so many mid range jumpers.
