GDT: Fish @ Braves: Time to put some Harris on our chest

Tomorrow's lineup will be the interesting one. TDA will catch. Does Contreras, ozuna, or Acuna DH? I think Acuna and ozuna play defense, Contreras DH, and duvall to bench

Just saw soto is hitting .235 with an .811 ops. Maybe it is too early to be so concerned about some of our hitters

I am guessing Duvall to the bench is the part that is wishful thinking...

Man - I’ve been waiting to post this lineup for what seems all my life :

Little Hula and I bouncing off the cieling. I was pretty young to really appreciate Bob Horner's, remember Chippers first AB like yesterday, same with so many of them which were special - Freeman, McCann, especially Acuna (to be fair and as just as excited for Frenchy and Jay Hey, and a few more I won’t mention)…..

But boy does this carry that same excitement in my house - game hard sell out, so we making impromptu grill out baseball fest at Hulahut.

So I’m gonna post it just because it feels good to do so. This is sexy as hell - all the way up and down (here’s looking at you Mr. Duvall)

1. R. Acuna (R) DH
2. Dansby Swanson (R) SS
3. Marcell Ozuna (R) LF
4. Austin Riley (R) 3B
5. Matt Olson (L) 1B
6. Ozzie Albies (S) 2B
7. W. Contreras (R) C
8. Adam Duvall (R) RF
9. Michael Harris II (L) CF

Time to send Strider down to get stretched out and solve the 5th SP spot once and for all. He could be ready to replace whoever is the #5 by the break - when Matzek and Yates could be ready to fill out the pen. If Waters has a solid couple weeks have him take Heredia's place.

Haven't done one of these in a long time, so to celebrate Harris' arrival the lineup for the second half run would then become...

1.) RF/DH - Acuna, 2.) SS - Dansby, 3.) 1B/DH - Olson, 4.) LF/DH - Ozuna, 5.) 2B - Ozzie, 6.) 3B/1B/DH - Riley, 7.) DH/C - Contreras, 8.) C - d'Arnaud, 9.) CF - Harris

Bench - SS/2B - Arcia, CF/RF/LF/DH - Duvall, CF - Waters (with Duvall potentially as trade bait if/when Rosario returns and Pina, Tromp, and Shewmake as potential fill-ins)

Rotation - Fried, Morton, Wright, Anderson, Strider (you'd still have Davidson/Muller/possibly Shuster to make a spot start and extend to a 6-man rotation to give everyone extra rest plus the Soroka wildcard)

Pen - Jansen, Matzek, Yates, Smith, McHugh, Minter, Stephens, two of O'Day/Chavez/Vodnik (lighting people up in Gwinnett)/Ynoa/Lee

I think the writing is on the wall for Duvall at this point and that Alex will try to get some sort of AAAA filler for him as soon as Rosario is able to resume baseball activities - if they're going to start Harris' clock now, you might as well see if you can get something useful for Adam from a team looking to try to do what Alex did last year by giving up minor pieces for a lottery ticket. If they think Harris truly is ready it probably doesn't matter whether your backup CF with a high strikeout rate is Duvall or Waters - you'd still have Heredia and Deshields in Gwinnett in case of emergency.

I’m sure owners are pissed about bc it’s gotta affect attendance some.

It’s got to…Like Toronto for instance…Those Canadian bastards spend their money, when their prime minister isn’t freezing their accounts, to watch Vlad’s disproportionate looking ass to hit bombs….and he’s not

The one Aguilar hit last night in the 9th would have been long gone last year. Balls are just trash. I wonder if they’ll change em after the break if offense is still down.

They need to…,and stop catering to those pu$$y pitchers….They wanna be able to throw 95+ with movement and have a dead ball…Fck them.

Seager, Vlad, Semien, Soto, Olson, and several others are just not hitting that well. It’s nuts

I know it’s not the point you are generally trying to make, but I think people are being a bit harsh with Olson. His stats are perfectly fine. A bit unlucky with home runs (obvi because of the ball) but his league adjusted numbers are where they’ve always been.

I think the balls are in effort to make offenses do more than swing for the fences. Hrs are exciting, but huge k numbers are not. Not saying I agree with new balls, but I bet that's the reasoning. Banning shifts is the next step

By "people" you mean me. And yes, I'm extremely harsh on him probably bc he replaced a legend that is having a great year, again. I do feel like Olson will eventually get going though, and trust me, I want that... I'm not Virginia pulling against us
