Exactly which metric - or statistic - told you playing d'Arnaud and Heredia was a better idea rather than playing Contreras coming off a 3 hit night and Heredia instead of Duvall coming off a night when he FINALLY squared pitches up and barreled them other than "your gut"???

Sitting a guy for a game after a good game does NOT stop the run. It actually lets them live with that good feeling an extra day. If they're truly swinging good and making progress, they'll be the same after a day off.
