Lol, ok

Welcome to America?

Enjoy your stay since it seems your new here.

Amazing you’ve somehow survived all your trips to Atlanta with the way you are trying to sell me on the violence being widespread everywhere etc

But if you can show me the picture of someone’s actual blood on the Lenox sign I’d like to see it.

This is a weird argument from someone who simultaneously argues that cops are mowing down blacks

Yeah every day in America does the heart of the city getting hit by crime threaten to create their own township to get away from the ineffective local government.

Happens all the time. Buckhead gave them what… a year to clean up their act ?

It was either in Atl uncensored, or on a friend of mines feed. I think it was his picture. I don’t keep stuff like that.

It wasn’t the security guard shooting, it was a parking lot shooting

But yeah if you are saying the affected population actually wants to DO something about the issue affecting them that’s definitely Maga. So crazy.

Neither of those shootings happened near the sign but whatever. If you see it again. Please pass it a long

Yeah, it doesn’t have to affect them for maga to work themselves into a tizzy. You can look at the delusion of the lives people had that attacked our democracy on 1/6 and for most it was all just made up fake oppression. They were upper middle class people that had been worked up by their “independent media” sources

Imagine thinking so little of a race that you declare that they must only think a single way

Cool

Glad that stupid attempt and trying to call racism is settled

Btw: the other questions have mostly been answered. You just don’t like the answers

When will leftists stand up to this catastrophic asian supremacy?

[tw]1532437488396029970[/tw]

Ever since 1619, when the Asians began importing black and white slaves to America, the Asians have been setting up a system of laws and cultural norms that are designed to keep the white and black races down. This systemic racism is the reason the rest of us don't do as well as Asians in school and earnings.

Amusingly enough, there’s an argument to be made that explicitly racist immigration policies have contributed greatly to this gap. For much of the 19th and early 20th century, we just outright banned immigration from most of Asia or restricted it greatly. With immigration being more restricted, it was generally wealthier and more educated immigrants coming to the country. It then follows that the children of these immigrants would on average do better in school, because that’s pretty much how it works across all races.

I don't know about that. With a few exceptions, I don't think immigration from Asian countries has been skewed toward wealthier and better educated people. Asians do well largely because of culture and family structure and because they value education more highly than most others. For better AND worse, the Tiger Mom is a thang.

There is an interesting phenomenon worth noting, however. Many Asians who can afford to send their kids to American high schools. Even though in some ways (mostly in math and science) the schools in the old country are better. They recognize that there is something about American culture and even the American education system that unlocks creativity and teaches kids to think for themselves in ways that doesn't happen in the more conformist environments in their own country. So we shouldn't get too down on ourselves and our schools. There are some things they do quite well. Not all of them. But many of them.

Why have Asians been able to overcome the white supremacy systems but blacks and Hispanics can't?

Not all Asians. Some Asians have the combination of cultural capital and family structure to do well. Others less so. Just as some white groups do better than others.

For me the germane question is do we help the children who are born into circumstances where cultural capital and family structure are not so conducive to success. I think there are things that we can do as a society to help pull them up. And the returns on doing those things are high enough to make it a good investment for all of us.

The question of racism is a bit different. But I don't think there is any doubt that blacks historically have faced an enormous amount of racism and discrimination. And one of the legacies of that is a large number of black children born into families that are dysfunctional and where they will grow up poorly socialized. We can wave our hands and say it is not society's job to fix that or that we couldn't improve the situation even if we had the best of intentions. Individual responsibility and all that jazz. An ideology that can be quite comfortable for some.

A reminder that the national black history museum published a graphic saying things like the nuclear family, being on time, and work ethic are characteristics of white supremacy

Maybe it's time to look inward instead of crying racism at every turn
