Minor league thread

We argue over the silliest of things.

This is what the Locker Room is for!!

When things are going bad, we all gang up on snit.
When things are going well, we fight each other.
Hardcore fans seem to never be fully happy.

You are better than name calling 31. You know it and I know it.

Matt pointed out the Braves won a WS and have a nice window so he's "not unhappy with how we did anything." Your response was "it was only because we were lucky to hit on positional players and procured a generational talent." I pointed out the presumed generational talent had nothing to do with the WS.

I never said Acuna wasn't a generational talent. I never said we wouldn't have won the WS if he remained healthy. I never said we didn't get lucky on hit rate with positional players (though I think given the quality of prospect of Acuna, Albies and Swanson, Riley was the only bit of luck).

I’m not better than that. That’s where you’re wrong.

Well we did debate the flamout\hit ratios for a bit.

I bet Grissom went 4\4 last night and Waters took 5 walks.

Not quite, but nice try!!!

Waters "only" struck out once, but was 0-4. Now down to .244/.301/.398/.699 with only 16 extra-base hits - if you take out the couple of big games he had in Rome things look pretty bad.

Grissom was 1-3 with a walk , 2 runs scored, and his 19th SB.

Shuster spun 6 more scoreless innings - 3 hits, 4 Ks, and 2 BBs. 3.13 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 86/21 K/BB in 77.2 IP. BAA now down to .209 on the season.

Shuster is probably a post-draft promotion, if he’s not traded.

I wouldn’t be surprised to also see Grissom and Malloy move up to AA in tandem around the same time.

Waters, meanwhile, can probably sign a longer-term lease in Greater Gwinnett.

Any reason why Grissom is still in A+? He's 21. For reference, we've all pretty much put waters on ice, but he's basically where Grissom will be in 2 years at his current rate
