GDT 7/24/22: Braves vs Angels - Heredia gets a start

I'm not playin' dead serious. The dude is seriously overrated.

Lol what? He's having a down year so far but he has a better career ops than your precious Freddie and isn't even close to his prime yet. He had just a smidge under 1000 ops seasons his 22 and 23 year old seasons. That's what's known as elite in case you were confused.

Disappointing game today when we had a chance to potentially move into first place. Almost all young pitchers go through struggles, but Ian is not helping the team right now.

We’ve worried about his pitch mix since he was a prospect, in part because the balance to keep his arsenal effective was so delicate. I wonder what the team’s plan is to fix this situation, now that it looks like his stuff has backed up a bit and disrupted that delicate balance. As it stands, he’s not even effective the first time through an order.

As I explained when Anderson first came up, he has #3/#4 stuff that will play up or down based on his command. Right now, for whatever reason, his command is bad and his stuff is playing down. Hopefully they can sort it out.

Acuna got last 2 hits on a line... keep that ball up, Acuna

You’ll be grilling his ass tomorrow night lol.

He had an extended break with that play he took a break on. Making a rookie mistake trying to throw someone out at 3B and airmailing it…Acuna really needs to decide which kind of player he wants to be…In case he didn’t realize last season that any team can win without their superstar all star.
