That is because we have crony capitalism where the government decides what they will subsidize and what they will bail out.

Removing that safety net will solve the majority of the problems we agree exist. ESG is so laughably unpopular that it could never survive without the central planner propping it up

I agree with all of this. Problem is crony capitalism is the end result in almost all scenarios without intervention from government protecting the people against these monsters.

'Governments' is a misnomer in how you are using it. You look at government as US / UK / France. Its not the current reality. 'Governments' are the WEF / Amazon / Google / Facebook.

Hey - Whats the big deal that Google isn't allowing you to actually find true search results?

Free market y'all.

Hey - Whats the big deal that Twitter effectively stole the election for Biden?

Free market y'all.

He did but even with all the cheating Trump would have officially 'won' had the American people knew about Biden crimes.

But I suppose twitter is the free market so Chop is fine with this....

Let’s ban Twitter so Truth Social can be the market leader. They share the news, comrade thethe approves. Or we could use China’s preferred method of firewalls and compelling Twitter to only show the news you want.

Fun fact - America had a revolution so they wouldn't be controlled by their current day global aristocracy.

Awesome - You certainly approve of it.

American people definitely don't deserve to have the news according to you.

you keep saying this:

"anti-free market forces are the end result of free markets"

this is a premise impossible to debate you on. We don't have free markets. Our non free markets have resulted in the issues we have seen. It is what it is.

you want to put the solution to that in the hands of the people who got us here... and you want to give them more money and power while you're at it. its baffling

People like me aren’t to be trusted with any decision. That’s why we need our overseers to make decisions for us lest we choose to strengthen our enemies.

How did we get to this stage? Free markets yielded incredible progress and wealth. This wealth did however get centralized in small groupings because of how great the system of capital works.

These new powerhouses continued to impose their agendas and effectively replaced our government. This is always the end result without intervention.

Hey Chop - I have a strong suspicion that you are very successful in life.

Why change the system.....

Who cares about the plebs....

Oh system needs changing (sturg’s done a good job explaining some ideas how).

But warts and all, talent still rises to the top in the US. I vehemently disagree with any proposal that throttles incentives.

Of course the talent will rise in any system. But ignore the 90% of the population that can’t achieve at these levels at your own peril.

Sure, but given where the US lands on any ranking of innovation, class mobility, etc. we do better than most.
