2022 Trade Deadline

man, the fans of SD have to hope they win something soon.. that team is going to be awful in a few years when their payroll is 250+ and no farm system.

I can see Grossman being a good bench bat and only batting from the right side but it shouldn’t stop us from getting somebody like Happ if the price falls closer to the deadline today.

Heard this morning that the Dodgers were building momentum on Soto. It's almost like the Dodgers leaked that just to bait Preller into giving away everything.

I just think its silly to uproot a huge chunk of your young talent for one player, no matter how good he is. Soto is great hitter, but his defense if a real liability and in the end he's most likely a DH. Kind of crazy to give up that much for a glorified DH. Everyone's scared of Soto going to a rival... I don't get it. I guess if he goes to the Mets or Dodgers it would suck but I think both of those are huge long shots. Its gonna be St. Louis or San Diego if he goes anywhere. That doesn't scare me.

man, I can't believe we traded Will Smith. I am not sure how I feel about the new guys.. I am still wondering if this move Strider to the pen or they use some sort of 6 man. I think they want Strider in the pen as a Hader type closer.

But Will will always be a favorite player after last year's postseason. I don't care what he did before that or after that.. dude was fire and for that he is always a Brave in my world.. Same with Matzek..

That's not really the point I was making.

I know what you mean.. any real Brave fan knows we were blessed that post season with every team we faced losing key guys. Dodgers lost Muncy, Kershaw, Max, Sex dude guy, and I think bread at the end... then the Stros lost Lance and I think someone else. I know the Braves lost a lot of key guys too.. but it was a blessing to not have to face some of those stud players.
