@MySportsLegion: The Bulls expect Derrick Rose back for the playoffs. (via NYDN)

Would be good for the East playoffs, but i'll believe it when i see it.

Well:

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was asked if there was a chance Rose could return for the playoffs. "No," he said. "He's doing a little bit more, he's coming along (and) doing some things in practice. But he's out for the year."

Its such a damn shame that Rose can't stay healthy. They would be one of the top 2-3 teams in the NBA for sure with him.

JPX, what do you want the Bulls to do in the offseason? What can they afford to do?

Thought the NBA was going to crack down on flopping. See it every night. Terrible flop by Westbrook just now.

BTW, that loss was good for the Thunder. Better to get a first round pick this year in the 20-22 range than in future years. Could potentially get a starter that late in the draft.

The loss wasnt good but if it nets them the Dallas pick in this draft, it is sorta worth it to get two 1's for Presti to choose from.

Only reason i disagree is because i think OKC needs the 2-seed.

And the Clips are right on their heels, as well as Hou.

West is tight.

Have said not having Thabo/Perk will hurt more than some thought. Might be better offensively, defensively

It's a tough question.

They really need to bring over Nikola Mirotic.

I believe they will also release Boozer via the amnesty-provision, and then probably employ a Gibson–Mirotic PF rotation, if they can bring him over. Regardless, Gibson has looked improved on offense this season, and is likely ticketed for a starting role in 2014–15.

They'll have two first-round draft-picks, both likely in the 10–20 range. They really need a backup to Noah that isn't Nazr Methuselah; if Willie Cauley-Stein is still on the board, I think he'd be a great option to fortify the front-court. Whether it's from the wing or point position, they should look for three-point shooting with their other choice.

I'd like for them to re-sign DJ Augustin, given his renaissance with the Bulls, along with their need for a back-up PG (Hinrich's contract is up after this season, and he probably won't return unless he wants to play for the veteran-minimum) and the obvious uncertainties surrounding Rose's legs. Fredette's probably the only other of their impending-free-agents whom it would make sense to bring back.

As for free-agents currently playing on other teams: I think I've pretty well talked myself out of Lance Stephenson, after his play the past couple months—coupled with his personal history, the salary-offer he'll likely garner as a restricted free-agent, and his general lack of obvious fit with the Bulls (not being a great three-point shooter). Meanwhile, after the trade of Luol Deng—and following years of dispelling the idea—I think I might have finally talked myself into Carmello Anthony; provided he leaves the Knicks, I think the Bulls would be his first preference.

Let's go Knicks! After the Hawks lose tonight the Knicks will 2.5 games back. Give the Hawks a chance in the lottery.

Bron can't do it alone...nobody can.

I think Bosh will show up. He has become a really underrated player who sacrificed his personal performance to be on a winner.

Its about Wade and always has been. On his good days he is still a top 10 player but those good days are happening with less frequency.

Rockets lose Beverly to a torn meniscus, that's going to hurt.

Sucks for him and the team. Injuries are tough to deal with especially for basically the only tough player on the team as well as the only solid wing defender.
