The Coronavirus, not the beer

Also explains why our medical leaders praised China. They were neck deep in wuhan, too

Would be interesting to a form a committee on that... Do some investigations, etc. send people to prison

Unfortunately not enough time. Can't do both that AND a pepper spray investigation

They had to plan the insurrection and then investigate it. Cut them some slack. Lots to do.

This is the part where the seals scream "of course there is more deaths in vaccinated... There are way more people!!!!"

But the critical thinker will observe that one of these two must be true...

1. The death count for "not fully vaccinated" is extremely low

2. The death count for "fully vaccinated" is extremely high

You know where I stand Sturg. I don't believe that metrics listed in that tweet prove anything on their own.

Most of the at-risk people are vaccinated in the country (as they should be). I'd need to see vaxed vs. non-vax deaths based on risk assessment to individuals.

Booooohooooo poor dead people who had to be forced by the state to take something they didnt need... Booohoooo

Wonder why Japan's outcomes for the CCP Virus was better than ours?

Only a fool would actually wonder.....

Obesity is easily the biggest public health crisis in this country. There’s not even a close second.

Huge negative externalities (ht: nsacpi)
Mental health
Productivity
Reproductive rates
Mental aptitude
Climate change

Government can’t fix this problem but they can stop making it worse.

Government definitely can't fix the problem. This is a societal rot that needs to be fixed.

Body shaming doesn't necessarily have to be the norm but we certainly can't body celebrate being overweight.

Some quick ways I'd change things....

-Massive insurance discounts when you reach specific BMI thresholds. I know BMI isn't great and for any others that have a better metric please advise.
-Requirement to purchase multiple tickets when travelling if you are a certain percentage of the surface area of your seat. (Yes - Body shaming needs to be part of the equation)
-Requirement that students take at least one full year of cooking. People just don't realize how easy it is to cook

Saw over the weekend Norway sponsors a national CrossFit team and their top athletes. Basically some of the fittest people in the world, representing their country.

You can see where the priorities differ….

I’d say a basic nutrition class. How to count protein/fat/carbs.

I don't understand why other countries did better than the US?

Had to be Trumps fault!!! Literally only the dumbest of people would actually think this.

For sure - That needs to be included within the cooking instruction.

Whatever it is it needs to be extensive. We do stupid things like Art class that doesn't impact over 99% of the people that take it. But a cooking/nutrition class will impact 100% of those that take it.

JAIL - ALL OF THEM!

I thought this would have some impact at first. That quickly went out the window.

But NGL, I had a good time during this time period. Drinking around the fire pit at night, having a good ol time.

2020 was hands down the best year of my life up until that point. Fortunately, each year has gotten better since.

My wife was in buffalo at the time and they shut down her practice. Not essential to get eye surgery see...

That was the moment that we decided we could never live a crazy blue state ever again.

Her parents were insane (and still are - think lecturer level fear and paranoia)... So we were not welcome home for the holidays.

We had to postpone our wedding bc of our venue being in DC.

There was plenty of good that came during it too... Since I'm part of the laptop class my work opportunity expanded overnight. But it was such a moment of clarity that you simply cannot risk living in a deep blue state ever again
