I’m not suggesting you need to apologize for slavery or feel bad for what others did. What I am suggesting is the ramifications of enslaving an entire race of people, then spending another century openly discriminating against them are much larger than some are willing to accept. I’m also suggesting that people of certain backgrounds probably don’t have any interest in glorifying people who enslaved their ancestors and might have some different thoughts on our nation’s history. Saying that the rest of the world did it too doesn’t change the fact that there are many Americans who would have no reason to celebrate our history.

Certainly not okay with discrimination. I dont trust your news sources and dont feel like looking up more information to explain your own post to you. My first question is it black and latino areas or poor areas.
