2022 Elections

same polling that predicted the Red Wave ?

Easier to fill a ballot for someone (for who knows what in return) than getting them to answer multiple questions for a pollster.

Thats the divergence that needs to be accounted for now on polls.

All because of the dirty practice of ballot harvesting.

By speaking to them you mean giving them free money right?

Man - I can't believe that the young people LOVED that policy.

free money ?

I've been paying taxes since before most of you were born and I whole heartedly voted for people that supported student debt relief
nothing fre coming my way

You said the 'youth' came out and supported Biden (they did). They are the ones that got 'free' money. I can't for the life of me understand why they would vote for that....

you predicted the Red Wave since 2020. No, 2018
If I were you, I would be quiet and listen

But, not you and your MO is to be tone deaf

So ...

Didn't think that we would resort to how much can be given to voters for someone to effectively fill out their ballots while they sit at home on their ass

The most interesting piece of data I've seen is the Dems did unusually well among independent voters who have a somewhat unfavorable view of the president's performance. Usually, the president's party loses this group by over 20%. This time they did slightly better than break even.

hopefully very poorly chosen one announces his candidacy before the runoff and campaigns for Herschel...he has been an amazing asset to the Dems

If you voted for John Fetterman I think assuming you are uninformed is the most charitable description I could assign

The other option was a TV Doctor who used to tell people he found a magic cure for obesity that you could purchase.

I hope Republicans do as much introspection as they have criticized Democrats for the failure to do so after 2016. Likely losing a senate seat in this political climate is embarrassing.

It’s perfectly acceptable that the party moves away from the Romney and Ryan’s towards populism. But it’s best for the party if they move away from Trump the Kingmaker.

No question about it.

The GOP (rightly, IMO) assumed that candidate quality didn't matter because the left have done so much destruction to their lives that it didn't matter.

Clearly, the GOP needs to understand that trump has to go. He is a net negative. They need to really lean in on COVID policies (they were scared too bc Trump supporter many of them)... They have to fund their mail in ballot machine.

This is a wake up call that assuming people would not be ok with rising crime, record inflation, lower quality of life, suspended liberties, authoritarianism, and child mutilation would be so popular that they could not possibly compete.

I was wrong to think better of non seal Dems.

It's truly staggering the incompetence (the most charitable description I could offer)

Isn't this operation run by Katie Hobbs?

Are you saying most of them are likely to be informed? I’m not sure how this rebuts what I said.

No, I'm saying a many, if not most, likely are uninformed. From the article:

Aware of the possibility that low-information voters may now represent a majority of the American electorate, politicians—who do care deeply about politics—have adapted their campaign strategies accordingly.
