2022 Elections

There’s a reason why Kemp beat Abrams by 7-8 points and (R) has to resort to blaming the (L) for their failure to win the Senate race. Nominate better candidates, not brain dead novelty acts playing Trump karaoke.

Also helps when you don't get funded by the opponent during the primaries.

The least known candidate in that primary was the best one, but not the most of note.

In a lot of ways, yeah. But I think it’s overly dismissive to think that one of the ways I’m wiser is in deciding what’s best for the country. Young people are affected by what happens on election night, and often times the way we do things makes it tough for younger people. I hardly think that getting a multitude of perspectives is a bad thing.

I think young people that are voting for free handouts because they stupidly took a loan for a BS degree is not something that is 'good' for the country.

Yeah - Incumbent advantage helped Kemp and hurt Walker. In addition, Abrams was toxic to a lot of Georgians because of her comments during the enactment of the Jim Crow voter suppression laws.

Kemp also scored massive points with his gun legislation as well.

To put it another way, I’m wiser about the way the world is, but not necessarily wiser about how the world ought to be.

Keep in mind that youth turnout has always been low, so all the things you hate were likely put in place by people voted for by non-youths.

No young person knows what the world ought to be because that perception is a selfish one at that age.

Yes voting for massive handouts and spending and then 20 years from now realizing how bad that is for the long term of the country is the usual evolution.

Unfortunately we have to keep paying the price for their naivety

Lets also not dismiss the impact tik tok had in this race (well in reality the CCP) on shaping the minds of young voters.

Not sure why that isn't a concern other than the fact you are happy they are voting your side.

I didn’t realize that young people were in a position to control how we spend government funds. Impressive work by Gen Z thus far.

DeSantis seems to be bullet proof even from the seals.

Competent strong anti communism anti lockdown governance is still popular... Just not many places to get it

Umm - They are voting for people who are promising them they will receive money.

Lots of young professionals (those with college degrees) left their liberal ****hole for Florida.

The margin of victory and any stratification of the victory is a function of that. More power to Desantis as he attracted these people with his amazing policies/governance.

You need to let go of trump and realize he is poison

Possibly - Until Trump is out of hte running he has my support. If he is defeated in a primary I will gladly support the nominee. I still remember Q4 19 until the CCP ended his presidency.

You’re insane if you think selfishness is a young vs. old trait.

Biden broke the law by promising to steal money from me to give to priveledgef young people to bail them out of their horrible decisions.

I'm shocked they supported that!

What do you think of the people who vote for candidates that offer to lower their estate tax or to “ease the burden” on the middle class? Are they not voting for people promising them money?

I am curious to see what DeSantis's stance on legalization would be as President. Assuming its reclassified to schedule 2 or 3 by that time would he try to move it back to schedule 1? Would he be pro states rights to determine for themselves? I know he is anti-legalization but it would be very anti-populist to take such an unpopular opinion. Anyone who hates legalization is a safe bet to vote Republican anyways.
