I'm in the same boat and it's definitely not slighting Murphy. I love Enscheff's analogy because I FEEL that as a position of strength, the subtraction of assets weren't needed for the position of catcher, NOT because Murphy may or may not be the best.I like the thought of him too.. however, I am not 100% sold on his offensive performance being comparable to WC.. He doesn't need to regress much to be a very average bat.. and he is did get to feast on the AL west's pitching for the most part.
I will continue to say I don't like this trade and I don't think you guys will either midway through the season. I really hope I am wrong..
