Not a joke. If we wouldn't have had injuries, Wood was going to be in the bullpen to keep his innings down...now we have him going over 100 pitches and having a 3-4 MPH drop off his fastball.
He is. But people will defend him to death. Laird should've been out of the game back when it really mattered, but he DEFINITELY shouldn't have had an at-bat in the 9th.
Wood was cruising.
He made one bad pitch, hindsight is always 20-20.
It wasn't hindsight. I said I didn't like it before the pitch. Say what you want about my opinion of Fredi, but if I think it is a bad move I don't wait until the result to say so.
Negative much?
Yeah I can't believe he hit in the 9th. SMDH!
What I want to know is when is Heyward going to get a hit when it really matters? Guy is a good player but I can't call him clutch.
Thats fine.
Carp and Avilan were fresh so i guess they could of made it a bullpen game after the 6th.
But pitching didnt lose us this game.
Not as much as you, there is a word for that you know? That's also why few take you serious anymore.
Uggla looks like he is coming around a little. So does BJ, for that matter.
He is still terrible defensively (and his coming around a little is hitting around .200). Pastornicky can do better on offense and defense.
It is frustrating, but with just a little offense we could be 6-0 right now. Pitching has been phenomenal.
Tyler is also bad on defense and Uggla has hit into some tough luck. Six games is too early to be replacing anyone.
Exactly, we've wasted some fine pitching. I don't expect it to continue this great pitching wise in the Mets series. I doubt Harang pitches good two straight outings.
Tyler is bad on defense at short, not at second. He's a good second baseman and was actually great at second this spring making some highlight reel plays.
He is bad at second, too.
