Official official offseason thread

That Diaz injury was way worse (even though you can't see it) than I'd have thought when i read it.

I mean- dropped like a rock and wheelchaired off? Wow.

news keeps saying knee, but they way he was grabbing his shin and ankle area, I am wondering if it is another achilles. That has to suck for him and Mets fans.

hold up now.. I just noticed that Ven had Acuna hitting 5th last night and he had his best game. I thought he could only be good in the leadoff spot??

That’s a huge blow for the Mets. Dude was money for them last year.

Dont know if they'd trade for one or just go with what they got and let the chips fall where they may. But they went all in with their spending so who knows.

Between him and Correa they've basically lost ~7-10 WAR overnight from what they thought they had

Patellar tendon is a lot worse than an ACL tear IRC. It’s basically a career altering injury in basketball and football.

Can’t think of any pitcher examples to project recovery

recovery time is typically 8 months but there are some cases where the recovery was complete in as little as 6. that being said, that puts him at mid-September, best case scenario. But as we saw with Acuna last year with the ACL, his knee wasn't back all season.

They already said he is out for the year.
