RHP Kyle Wright is set to begin a major league rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett tonight.

Additionally, OF Jordan Luplow was claimed off waivers today by the Toronto Blue Jays.

good luck Luplow..never really had a shot here and that is fine.

I thought if you were on the 40 man, you got the league min..

There is a league Min salary for 40 man but unless I’m mistaken it’s much lower if you are not in the big leagues (it’s like $50k-90k per year versus $700k if you are on the 27 man roster)

I might be wrong tho especially in Ian’s case where he’s accrued 2 years of service time.

How long would yall let Elder go? His pitch count is really low through 5, 61 pitches. If we could get 2 more, i'd try to do it to save the pen. Dont have a day off til maybe Monday i think?

Elder is only at 62 pitches -- It'd be awesome if he could give us two more, but he may have to be pulled if he allows a base runner or two.

I didn't realize Elder has a sinker, slider, cutter, changeup four-seamer AND curveball, and while none of them are dominant, they're all average to slightly above average.

Go at least one more. Long season and we might be leaning on this bullpen a lot in April while Kyle and Max are out.

If he gets trouble in the 6th pull him. If it's an easy inning then let him start the 7th.

Cards hit some balls that probably go out in the summer last inning. I'd try to get 2 more out of him given Friday might be a bullpen day, but yeah.

Elder has given up "1" hit and has a maddux like pitch count with a 5 run lead.. let him finish the game if he doesn't find trouble.
