Trump Indictment Watch

First, let's drop this act that you care about a prosecution being political. You and others actively cheered on politicaly motivated investigations. You defended Trump being involved in trying to get Ukraine to publicly announce an investigation into Biden. So you can **** off with that ****.

Next, what exactly is a sham. Trump tried to conceal that he was paying back Cohen for hush money payments during a campaign by falsifying business records. That's a crime whether you like it or not or think it's significant. The next question is whether it was done to conceal a crime which would make it a felony. Federal crimes have been used to raise the state charge to a felony many times before. There has never been a case where a federal campaign finance violation was used. There is a legitimate argument to make regarding whether that amounted to federal campaign violation but its not a great one. I don't know if the jury has the option to convict on misdemeanor charges or if it'd a felony or nothing but he is caught red handed on the records part.

There was literally no crime stated.

The DA can’t even dictate it.

J o k e

You read that headline? Falsifying business records is a crime and its stated in the indictment atleast 34 times. Penal law 175.10 if you want to get out your NY state lawbook.

Yes, according to Bragg. If he says so it's gotta be true. lol

Former vice president Mike Pence will not appeal a judge’s ruling that requires him to testify in front of a grand jury exploring the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, a spokesman said Thursday, likely setting up a pivotal moment in the special counsel investigation related to former president Donald’s Trump efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Pence’s decision to drop the appeal means he will likely testify under oath about Trump’s attempts to pressure him, and he could be a key witness. Trump and his team could still appeal the ruling, but they have lost similar previous cases.

A date for his testimony is not settled, though it is likely to be later this month, an adviser said.

The decision comes as Trump is actively pursuing the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and ahead of an expected bid by Pence to challenge him. Pence’s testimony could add to Trump’s mounting legal exposure as the nominating process unfolds.

It doesn't necessarily have to be in DC. You can find extreme liberal idiots anywhere and you don't have to look hard.

Yeah, it's like there's 81 million of them. How can a guy who claims the people are on his side also claim everyone's biased against him. Just a few months ago little thethe was high stepping about all those Republican wins on the state level in NY.

So 34 felonies that were in the left here minds' truly justified. Trump is facing 130+ years of prison time. How many years do you predict he serves?

I'll start.

Zero.

Bc this is a crap case.

pretty strong stance for someone claiming not to be following any of this closely

Sadly, there's still a good chance he will be convicted in this kangaroo court. Yes, they truly are brainwashed enough to believe this is justified.

Justified? The old saying in Washington is that the coverup is often worse than the crime. What he did wouldnt necessarily be a crime its the covering up where the crime comes in. It amounted to cheating in the 2016 election because it prevented a negative story about Trump from going public using illegal campaign donations. I was told that election integrity is super serious. Prosecute anyone who breaks election laws to the max the law allows. Do you not want people who rig elections prosecuted? He "won" based on 50k votes over about 3 states. Who knows how much this story would have changed votes.

I do not expect him to get prison time from this case even if he is convicted 34 times. By legal standards he has no prior criminal record with only some civil judgements of fraud on his record which wont matter. He is also a former President which will get him exceedingly favorable treatment. I expect the Judge to give him probation despite the attacks by Trump to hammer home her impartiality in the case although we know nothing but dismissing the case and ordering the immediate execution of Alvin Bragg will get the right to display the Judge as anything but Stalin reincarnated. The real threat of prison time comes from the 3 cases in Georgia and DC. If convicted in this case and then any of those, how do you not give prison time to a guy who is already a convicted felon. Even then I believe the Judge will grant an appeal bond solely because of his status as a former President.
