The GOP deal with the devil is now becoming clearer. They've spent

so long promoting a profoundly dangerous man purely because they

thought it would advance their narrow self-interests

that they now they must defend his egregious crimes lest

they be revealed to be his enablers.

The libs here are going to greatly disappointed when they find out how Smith has embellished stuff regarding the boxes and the audio "smoking gun".

Not necessarily including you in this grouping, but I’ve been astounded by the amount of conservatives whose primary position seems to be that if you go after Trump for his crimes, they’ll go after corrupt Democrats for their crimes as if a majority of liberals would be upset by this. If Biden broke the law, go after him. Hell, go after the Clintons again too if you have something to charge them with.

When Trump threatened to jail HRC for her very similar crimes, libs cried about the rise of fascism and the end of DEMOCRACY
 
It is worth noting that everyone has enemies in politics and every prosecution of a politician brings joy to his enemies. But at the same time it is possible the politician being prosecuted is in fact a crook.

Paxton has enemies. They are gunning for him. And it could be he is a crook.

Nicola Sturgeon has enemies. And it could be she is a crook.

Menendez has enemies. And he could be a crook.

Menendez beat the charges last time. Having followed that case, I think he should be in jail and that the Obama administration was right to charge him. It is to the discredit of NJ voters and the Democratic Party that he is still a senator. Hopefully, this new investigation helps bring about an end to his political career.

Very strange indeed that the guy allegedly walking around bragging about doing crimes and storing classified documents in a resort ballroom would be the one to get arrested.

Still all for arresting any other politicians who are illegally abusing their power.

Read page 27 of the indictment. There are no classified documents in the bathroom, ballroom, etc.. There are over 100 documents that are marked classified (which doesn't mean they are according to rule of law) and all of them are in Trump's office or SCIF.

The bathroom pic will go down is history like the pee tapes did.

I agree with you, but only one person is stupid enough to incriminate himself to the degree Trump has. If anyone actually finds enough evidence to prosecute and convict those people I will be very excited for that too. Especially Hillary and Biden.
 
It looks like the first issue that is going to get litigated through the court is the crime-fraud exception used to get Trumps lawyers to cooperate with the investigation. No matter what Judge Cannon rules it will likely be appealed all the eaybup to the Supreme Court. I don't expect Trump to win this issue even if Cannon rules in his favor. Trump kind of wins regardless because this and many other challenges to the case will effectively delay trial so he can hopefully win the 2024 election to pardon himself. If Trump were to somehow win on this crime-fraud exception ruling expect those lawyers to be arrested immediately and charged with filing a false affidavit. The only reason they haven't been arrested is because they claimed it wasn't their fault for which they had to show evidence by cooperating.
