GDT 9/11/23: Braves @ Phillies - DH Game 1

Was Rosario incapable of getting to Schwarber's bloop? Seems to me it would've been an easier play for Rosario coming in than Riiey over the shoulder.

when is the right time to move Harris to the 2 hole and Ozzie in the 9??

xwOBA since June 1 (an arbitrary date picked based on when Harris was "right"):
Acuña Jr., Ronald .471
Ozuna, Marcell .410
Olson, Matt .408
Riley, Austin .380
Murphy, Sean .369
Harris II, Michael .368
Rosario, Eddie .356
d'Arnaud, Travis .351
Albies, Ozzie .332
Arcia, Orlando .314

vs RHP:
Acuña Jr., Ronald .472
Olson, Matt .410
Ozuna, Marcell .394
Riley, Austin .385
Harris II, Michael .383
Rosario, Eddie .369
Murphy, Sean .354
d'Arnaud, Travis .351
Albies, Ozzie .336
Arcia, Orlando .303

vs LHP:
Ozuna, Marcell .477
Acuña Jr., Ronald .467
Murphy, Sean .462

Looks to me like Ozuna should be hitting 2. Harris should be hitting 5-6. Albies should be 8-9.

I like getting the starters rest, but we putting rust on Charlie and strider. Pretty soon need to get them back out there every 5th day

rosario defers to infielders A LOT when it’s balls in medium left field he should be getting to. Instead it’s Riley or Arcia going into the “infield fly” part of the outfield and Rosario just deferring. Legit looks like he’s scared to take control of the play so many times.

who is that Murphy guy.. we should play him some..

Jackson stephens started a game the other night for Gwinnett. I think they might start him if we win this game

Yeah it's crazy good. The only egregious issue with the lineup is Albies in the 2 hole where he clearly doesn't belong on this roster. That .322 OBP just doesn't fit.

I would probably go vs RHP:

Acuna
Olson (helps keep him away from Harris)
Ozuna (.340 OBP puts him in the less important spot)
Riley
Harris
Murphy
Rosario (Pillar ready to PH)
Arcia
Albies
