Trump Indictment Watch

You are just getting a crash course in the criminal justice system because of your sycophancy to Trump. I still remember when you couldnt understand why a person would plead guilty to a crime they didnt commit. Powell and Cheesebro have to cooperate with the investigation and testify against the others. The first rats to jump ship get the best deals. Also Fanni doesnt have to expose her case with an early trial giving the defense lawyers a preview of how she will prosecute the rest. In RICO talk a couple Fredo's just cut a deal for themself for no jail time to testify against the Don.

In his plea deal, Chesebro implicated several of those co-defendants as being part of the conspiracy to file false documents — a charge related to his role organizing slates of pro-Trump electors to meet in seven states where Biden had won. They are Trump, four other lawyers including Rudy Giuliani, and one campaign operative.

As part of his plea, Chesebro admitted to a range of activities, including a central role devising a plan to convene Trump electors. He also admitted that the purpose of the plan was to disrupt the proceedings on Jan. 6, 2021, when a joint session of Congress had convened to vote on the Electoral College tally that would declare Joe Biden the next president. Chesebro admitted as part of the pleading that he attended the protest at the Capitol that day.

Chesebro lost two key motions the day before his plea, one to exclude all his communications on the premise that they were confidential under attorney-client privilege. Those procedural defeats could have set the stage for the plea deal.

However, no jail time and pays a fine. It's worth it to make it all go away. Unless you have a lot of money like Trump you can't afford to fight the system.

Chesebro is rich.

He's worth $20 million. You could easily blow a good chunk of that going up the appellate ladder. He did the smart thing. The fact is the alternate elector thing is legal and has been done by democrats at every presidential election that they lost. Scores and scores of lawyers have said it's legal.

Chesebro just pled guilty to it.

The judge has an obligation to the law and cannot accept a guilty plea that is not consistent with the law. In fact his obligation is to dismiss charges not consistent with the law. This particular judge was appointed by Brian Kemp, conservative Republican governor of Georgia.

Yes, he pled guilty to a non-crime so that should tell you something. The dems have doing it for years and nobody cared. If it was illegal why didn't the conservatives go after them? From what I read the judge is not accepting any legal precedent in this case unless it's from Georgia or the 11th circuit which should tell you something too.

It's a shame he doesn't have access to grandma maga's election integrity donation

Of course they didn’t do anything about. Kemp and Raffy were in on the steal.

Many options to call a special session to do a full audit that they chose not to do.

Kemp allowed Abrams to re-write elections laws that gutted signature verification.

Would you like more?

Sure just have to show more work than that
