Daniel Jones out for the season. In what is obviously an all time bad contract gets even worse

Atleast it wont be much if any downgrade when they start his backup. We are really at the point in the season where the teams with no chance should be rooting for their team to lose so they can get a shot at a franchise QB in the draft.

Niners are back.

Purdy is still really good.

This was a must win game for the Niners, losing this could have derailed the entire season. THe biggest thing is they need to at least Split with Seattle if not double them up. THey still have a good shot at the 2 seed, Lions are fallible.

THat being said, wild to me that the AFC North may be the best division in the game.

I don’t see it as must win as the team is so talented they could beat anyone and rattle off a winning streak but it was great to have.

Bottom line purdy could be a franchise quarterback. Just needs to do it for another year or two and when he gets more expensive he has to prove he can do it when his salary is more of a burden.

Arthur Smith should get fired. He's a wretched coach. That offense is just ugly. He was absolutely fools gold of an offensive mind.

But he won't get fired. He could lose out and probably keep his job. Blank will give him another year.

Ive never liked the Smith hire. First, Smith was supposed to be a genius running the ball and I don't think you win super bowls doing that in today's NFL.

Second, his run game reputation came when he had prime Derrick Henry. When yman OC gets a reputation as being good at something and the thing he's good at has one of the best players of the decade at that position, it's a red flag.

Third, dude has never struck me as a genius. I've seen guys like him in real life. They cultivate this aura of competence largely through ego but when it comes down to it, they don't really know what they're doing. That's Smith.

We're finally seeing the true Arthur Smith and he's a terrible football coach.

Not a direct correlation for sure.

Andy Reid was Brett Favre's QB coach.

Nick Siriani had Luck blank and Rivers with Jonathan Taylor and

Kyle Shanahan took off mainly on the back of Matt Ryan.

I'm not gonna say that you're not right that you need to take a closer look.

Dark Horse Steelers now up to 6-3

Probably the worst looking 6-3 team of all time but as I said. Dark horse.

#1 QBR guy Mr Purdy

Just incredible. Lance trade should have been a franchise killer and Lynch/Shanny fell ass backwards into one it the 15 best QBs in the nfl with lots of room to grow.

That's the real difference between SF and many other teams. SF looked awful for a couple of games but they have coaches with their heads out of their asses and they figured out that Purdy, or any other good QB looks way better when they're vertical rather than horizontal. Even Brady looked pretty ordinary back in the day when he was spending more time on his back than your average politician on lobbyist appreciation day.

Apparently the Falcons are expected not to just keep Smith the rest of the season, they're expected to bring him back for 2024 barring players turning on him or the team completely collapsing. Not only has Arthur Blank not even begun to lose patience with Smith, Blank has apparently been very supportive of Smith.

The Falcons are a garbage organization from top to bottom. They should move the franchise to one of those floating islands of plastic garbage. It would be a more fitting place to play.

Broncos now at 4-5 having beat the Chiefs and Bills. I saw a lot of people throwing Sean Payton under the bus early in the year. Dudes a really good coach. He just makes some of the worst late game decisions you will ever see.
