January 6th insurrection thread...

how many people have been convicted or pleaded guilty to violent crimes in January 6 cases

As of October 4, 2023, a total of 366 individuals have been convicted or pleaded guilty to violent crimes in connection with the January 6th Capitol riot. These charges include assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers and/or obstructing officers during a civil disorder, which are felony offenses.

Here's a breakdown of the number of individuals convicted or pleaded guilty to various charges:

Assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers and/or obstructing officers during a civil disorder: 140 individuals

How many of the police who started the violence have been convicted? You do know if that BLM or Antifa was that crowd instead of Trump people they would have been compensated for the police actions. Byrd would be in prison for murder and quite possibly officers who shot rubber bullets/flash bangs into a crowd that was just standing there would be in legal jeopardy.

There would be no talks of insurrection, treason, or even a J6 committee. Nothing.

Greatest crime was being white while doing the same stuff they saw all summer

Exactly and not being on the left side of the political spectrum.

You people gaslit these people into thinking they could do whatever they wanted with no consequences. Several of them are on camera saying they wouldn't get on trouble for it while doing it because antifa doesn't. Go tell that to the cop city protesters in Atlanta.

Donald Trump can be held civilly liable for the actions of the mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, an appeals court ruled Friday in a long-awaited decision that could clear the way for lawsuits seeking financial damages from the former president.

Two U.S. Capitol police officers and about a dozen Democratic lawmakers sued Trump in 2021, saying he potentially instigated violence on Jan. 6 by telling supporters the election was stolen and urging them to march to the Capitol and “fight like hell.”

The plaintiffs sued under a roughly 150-year-old law that bars the use of force, threats or intimidation to prevent government officials from carrying out their duties and allows anyone injured by such actions to collect damages. They argued that Trump violated the statute — designed to combat Ku Klux Klan violence after the Civil War — by conspiring with members of far-right groups to keep lawmakers from confirming Joe Biden’s election win.

Special counsel Jack Smith also accused Trump of violating a law written to target the Klan, along with other federal crimes.

the wheels of justice may grind slowly but they also grind surely

Where's the evidence that he conspired with anyone?

"Fight like hell" is just a phrase. All politicians use it. He said to protest at the capital "peacefully and patriotically”

After the violence started he tweeted this “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order–respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

For the zillionth time you can watch the tapes and see without any doubt that the police started it by using rubber bullets and flash bangs into a crowd that was just standing there. Trump didn't cause it.

Saying that DC will nail Trump and will be successfully sued more than likely. The usual gaslit, uninformed posters here will cheer it on while the sane ones here will just shake their heads.

I don’t think there is any evidence to support such a suit but our population has become mostly lawsuit happy and loves playing the victim card

you seem to have an idiosyncratic definition of evidence...the judge and jury found the evidence plenty convincing

Tucker said that Fox specifically did not like his reporting on January 6th.

We all know why.

Do honest people destroy evidence?

Asking the community here for clarification?
