how many people have been convicted or pleaded guilty to violent crimes in January 6 cases
As of October 4, 2023, a total of 366 individuals have been convicted or pleaded guilty to violent crimes in connection with the January 6th Capitol riot. These charges include assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers and/or obstructing officers during a civil disorder, which are felony offenses.
Here's a breakdown of the number of individuals convicted or pleaded guilty to various charges:
Assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers and/or obstructing officers during a civil disorder: 140 individuals
How many of the police who started the violence have been convicted? You do know if that BLM or Antifa was that crowd instead of Trump people they would have been compensated for the police actions. Byrd would be in prison for murder and quite possibly officers who shot rubber bullets/flash bangs into a crowd that was just standing there would be in legal jeopardy.
There would be no talks of insurrection, treason, or even a J6 committee. Nothing.
