Grissom had a career .867 OPS in the minors. Kid can hit. Expecting him to put up low .700s OPS like Dansby did for most of his career is not a stretch by any means.

Isn't some of the point of the extensions to increase the player's pay during pre arb and some arb years and save the team from huge salary seasons during a prime free agent time (as well as later arb seasons)? Shouldn't this workout to be robbing Peter now to pay Paul later? And if so...

That's too much. Guy missed his age 29 season and is going into his age 30 season with injury concerns. It's like a half Ozuna contract.

Friend Fried gave up 6 and Strider gave up 4 in less than 3 innings... If we come back and score 5-6 runs like we did in game 1 it's absolutely on the pitching. The runs still count if we score them late.
