NL Rookie of the Year Watch

More positive movement overnight:

Baldwin from +100 to -110
Horton from +125 to +130
Collins from +400 to +500

Tonight is a big game for the Rookie of the Year. We face Horton tonight and he has four more starts remaining this season after that - and next one will also be against us. Would be nice for us to put a significant dent in his ROY hopes ... and still find a way to lose. But I won't be greedy at this point, the main goal tonight should be to knock Horton out of the race.

Yup. If Baldwin goes off tonight (say 3-4 with a homer) and we put up 5+ runs on Horton, Baldwin that would go a long way to locking up ROY, assuming no cold streaks for Drake or some massive hot streak for Collins. Collins has actually fallen hard back down to Earth, with a .557 OPS his last 17 games.

looking briefly at Cade Hortons pitches and he is another guys living the good life. I guess he has a deep arsenal and that helps, but man he doesn't really have a plus pitch to fall back on. His X stats are pedestrian and I assume he is loving the great defense the Cubs have right now. Here is to the Braves owning his ass his next two starts and especially Drake taking him deep a few times to cement this down.

Yeah Horton has outperformed like Collins has and he's came back down to earth lately. I'm curious to watch him tonight.

It is pretty beneficial to get to face this kid again in such a short amount of time. If we don't manage to hit hard tonight, we'll get a good beat on him for next week,

As you'd imagine, big shift overnight.

Horton back to the favorite, going from +130 to -115.
Baldwin from -110 to +160.
Collins from +500 to +550.

Baldwin could go 4-4 tonight with 2 homers and it'll change again. If Baldwin can hit 5 more homers and get to 20 he'll secure it for sure.
