NL Rookie of the Year Watch

As of now, Waldrep is 10 innings away from losing Rookie status. He's spent roughly 30ish days on the active Major League Roster combined the last two years prior to September 1, so he's good there. Braves could give him one more start without hitting that 10 innings (combined with this one) and shut him down, but they won't since we're in win in September mode.

Waldrep would likely be on at least two top 100 lists starting next year with how he's been for Atlanta so far.

That would be the smart play and then bring up Ritchie in his place.
 
Dear Mr. Snitgers. In case you or any other geniuses haven't noticed Mr. Baldwin has a higher BA, OBP, SLG and OPS batting left-handed than right-handed. Admittedly it is in much less at bats. Perhaps you have also failed to notice Mr. Murphy has a .143 BA and a .183 SLG in his last 30 games. Maybe you and the other braintrust could study this and try something different.? Thank you for your kind attention.

Ummm. I don’t think Drake is a switch hitter. You must mean facing LH pitching versus RH pitching.😀
 
I said this about Murphy a month ago:

"At this point, might as well protect Murphy as much as we can so he can maintain his trade value for the off-season. The last thing we need is for a major injury to Murphy or a 3-32 spell and have his OPS drop 100 points."

His OPS now sits 100 points below from when I made this post.

And yet there are still people still think trading Murphy is such a bad idea..

A 3-32 streak would be a hot streak for him.
 
Braves can really help turn this around by shelling Horton in his next two starts while letting Baldwin play in 90% of the next 10 games whether it's DH or C.

You were 100% spot on. AA missed the chance to sell high on Murphy. He hasn’t made a competent move in almost 2 years now.
