The baseball Gods demand Elder be in the starting rotation. Once we accept that the injuries will stop.

It will be amusing when AA also fails to add a starter at the deadline and the excuse is Schwellenbach, Waldrep, and AJSS will all be back in August and September.
Having AA say that would be a serious issue because SS2 and Waldrep should already be back by that point and AJSS should be out the whole year.

Highly doubt either of them is back by the all-star break. I'd be thrilled if they're ready by then.

The Braves may honestly just have to Tampa Bay it and operate with 10 relievers - strictly manage Holmes' and Lopez's innings and use openers 2-3 times a week.

The Elder gods have returned. That is not dead with can eternal lie. And with strange aeons, even Quad-A starters may die.
The information we’ve received about their injuries does not indicate that. Even on the long end of their recovery and ramp up timline we should have them both back by the beginning of July. It doesn’t appear SS2 or Waldrep are dealing with any kind of ligament damage so its just a minor cleanup and the recovery time will be fairly short

I’m not sure investing in a pitcher over 40 who has only started 26 games over the past 2 years is the best way to mitigate our injury risk
My wife asked me if the board was feeling optimistic about the season. I told her the board is on suicide watch. Just as well cancel the season since we have no hope for success.
I am going to go out on a limb and predict that the season will turn out much better than the mood of the board right now.

Are people learning anything yet? Or does anyone still think adding SP wasn’t the most important need?
The Braves haven’t even played a ST game yet and are down 2 of their 6 legit SPs, and 2 more of them are ticking time bombs with previous injuries to end the season. Oh, 1 of the others is made of glass, while the last still hasn’t bounced back from his own injury.
There is no excusing AA’s offseason.
