Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Sturg shows information indicating California is losing to Mississippi and Louisiana on education.

BL refuses the information and says no one is losing to Mississippi

Leftist ideals in a nutshell folks. Zero reflection

Mississippi has greatly improved its fourth grade reading scores. I think they deserve a lot of credit for that and other states can learn from it. Im happy to concede that Mississippi is "winning" on that particular metric. And happy to also concede that California is wasteful of some of the money it spends on education and could do a lot better.

California just had the highest income growth rate. But I guess that must be due to luck, stock options, nice weather, demographics, etc.

Oh and the other states that saw rapid income growth were mostly blue. And the ones lacking in income growth were mostly red. Must be another case of lucky blue states and unlucky red ones. Or maybe it is the obesity. Whatever the reason it can't be policy. That's too heretical to consider.

All share in common

how easy it is to steal public funds

But if you ever suggest cuts to these funds, you are called a murderer

Do you ever look at affordability and tax rates?

Yes. That's my point. I know it is a heretical thought. But maybe higher tax rates and a higher regulatory burden provide certain beneficial thangs. Like a cleaner environment. A healthier, better educated and more productive work force.

Personal income grew by 5.5% in California in 2024. In Texas it grew by 2.7%. Inflation in Dallas and Houston was slightly higher on average (3.2%) than the average for LA and San Francisco (3.1%) in 2024. Population grew by 1.8% in Texas in 2024 and 0.6% in California.

Bottom line: Real per capital income in California grew by almost 4% more than in Texas in 2024. That's a pretty big difference for one year. But yeah I get it. California has luck, nice weather and stock options on its side. Texas has um good policy.
