Looking Ahead - The 2020 Offseason Thread

Correct. AA has said many times that he will not spend his whole budget, to save money in case he needs to make a move.

    2021 BA Top 100

Injuries. Ender performed above what he should have done, but now has performed well below his capabilities. Knowing this is basically the last year of his deal (no one would pick his option up), it wouldn’t surprise me that he comes out blazing hot and Pache struggles a tad to begin the year...

Looking Ahead - The 2020 Offseason Thread

It is a little strange. I thought AA was “holding out” for bargains....it appears that he’s just “holding on” to what money is left. He is a sharp guy and knows more about what he has than we do. He has to be holding onto cash for the chance of a big move. It might very well be him making a big...

Looking Ahead - The 2020 Offseason Thread

I will admit that this appears to be the best buyers market for trades and lower/mid signings in a good while. That’s been said about a lot of trades this year. It’s a good time to make a trade.

Of course Pache will start, unless he just doesn’t hit...and I doubt that happens.

Ender knows this is basically his last year of the contract. I expect him to have a above average “Ender” year.

Braves expected to Sign Ozuna to 4 year deal

I would be fine with us upgrading 3rd base. In saying that...Riley could figure things out (he’s still pretty young). Does that mean he will...who knows. I still wouldn’t trade Riley in a package unless you get a really good player in return. The chances are (maybe 40%) that he figures things...

I didn’t realize how close Dansby was to being a free agent.

Well besides Freddie (who will sign back)....everyone is locked up besides Dansby .
