Agreed all around, but the thing is, this team doesn’t even need Kelenic to be that good. If he can just be average he’s a good get. I think he’ll be better than average, but there’s essentially zero risk here unless he totally ****s the bed.

I don’t hate IKF I just would’ve rather kept Lopez and his elite elite glove, especially since they’ll probably be around the same dollar amount. Lopez is also a lefty which has its benefits. Sorta bummed AA just threw him away.

This assumes one of them ends up needing to accept a two year deal. That’s not a guarantee.

I don’t see why Grissom can’t be Stott or better with the bat. He’s not as good of a defender, but his EVs did go up this year in a limited sample and he’ll only be 23 when the season starts. If he can play solid defense at 2B, he could definitely be a starting-caliber player.

I hesitate to call any prospect “expendable”, but teams with deep farms can obviously more easily deal guys from it. Braves farm is thin, and that makes Waldrep basically un-tradeable. I could see AJSS being dealt, and Grissom I think is definitely on the table for a deal if the right one comes...

Unless it’s for a really reasonable dollar amount. I just can’t see him giving Gray $22-25m for 3 years and also giving up all those assets. It’s not happening.
