As a Falcons fan I just have to laugh. The organization is not serious.

    2025 Around The League Thread

I don't want Iglesias, I don't buy his turnaround. His second half success has been luck fueled with a BABIP of .192 and a bery unsustainable HR/FB of just 3%. In the second half he's walked guys at a higher rate, K'd them at a lower rate, given up more hard hit balls, and actually posted a...

    The Coronavirus, not the beer

I think I'm going to start researching which vaccines I'm eligible for and start getting them as a form of protest.

Hayden Harris Time! And a couple of other moves.

I'll be interested to see the data on Harris' arsenal, specifically the fastball. See if it does anything special or if Harris just victimizes minor leagues.

Strength of schedule is important to remember. The Falcons had the easiest schedule in the league last year. While their schedule still isn't hard, at 20 it's a good bit tougher this year. That will offset some of the improvement the Falcons are hoping for. Morris' pathetic coaching also...

He played against 4 bad defenses. The best was Washington at 18. Penix's best game was against Carolina who had the worst defense in the league. So he was decent but is still pretty untested.

    Grading Waldrep's Stuff

Yeah, it's like saying throwing rock in a game of rock paper scissors is bad because rock isn't exceptional. If you have no idea what is coming, rock can surprise you If your pitches all look the same out of your hand and you change speeds and eye level, it can make average movement play up...

His stuff has eroded at least some. His fastballs are both down 2 mph this year and his breaking pitches have seen a modest drop in spin rate. He's 31 which makes these drops being normal age related decline likely.

1 war is worth roughly $10 million, iirc. Bummer is pacing about 0.5 war. So Bummer is going to be making about twice what he's worth next year assuming he plays like he did this year.

I've long disliked Bummer. Dude is overrated. Hopefully some team is dumb enough to take him but I doubt it. AA was a fool for trading for him.

I was wondering what Ian Anderson is up to but see he hasn't pitched anywhere since June. What's up with him? Is he hurt? Is he even still on a roster anywhere?
